I grew up by the sea in Cornwall and went to Falmouth Art College. After some years of travel, I settled on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon in 2005 and became a mother of 2. Painting is my passion and I take my inspiration from my surroundings, nature and the seasons.

Age 25 I became a Yoga teacher and I taught for many years. Yoga underpins my intuitive approach to painting, helping me to stay present while I work. I have been showing my artwork in Devon since 2017. In 2018 Devon Open Studios awarded me the 'Emerging Artist Bursary Award'.

Years of experimentation have given me an understanding of colour, tool use and paint application as well as helping me develop my style. I love the intuitive process of building up in layers - each piece is a journey and a conversation between myself, the painting and the world around me.

For a few years I have been painting in response to the wilderness and wild spaces. My work reflects the landscape of Dartmoor, the coastline and the dramatic and breathtaking skies that capture my attention everyday.

“ I paint intuitively and with experimentation, always exploring and diving into the unknown with my materials, abstracting what I can from all I observe and what moves me in my every day life, seeing all I can, I enjoy the subtle differences and slight contrasts, the beauty in the ordinary, the uncelebrated and forgotten, the unremarkable that can easily be missed. ”
