A gentle and beautiful abstract painting of a warm sky with teal, prussian blue, raw umber and white. Some simple lines to suggest a horizon line ground the painting.

A relaxing addition to any space. Available in a few sizes as prints on both paper and canvas.

High quality print on stretched canvas. My museum wrapped canvas prints have white edges and can be hung just as they are or you can take them to your local framer to be framed. I recommend a tray frame or floater frame.

Product Information

Printed on durable stretched premium-quality canvas, the high print quality is achieved by utilizing state of the art printing technology for sharp, photographic reproduction and colour fidelity.

The materials and process used to create each print on canvas ensure they retain their quality and vibrancy for many decades.

Each custom stretched canvas begins with a 12-colour Giclée print, produced from a choice of substrates. Our artworks are printed on durable, stretched premium-quality canvas using advanced printing technology that delivers sharp, photographic reproduction and excellent color fidelity.

The custom wooden stretcher bars are made from European knotless pine and the rolled canvas print is then stretched over it.

The canvas is then hand finished by the experienced framing team, who ensure each corner fold is perfectly smooth and tight.

These printed artworks are a timeless addition to any space.

Finishing & Framing

Your chosen artwork on stretched canvas is reproduced onto durable, stretched premium quality canvas.

The canvas image is 'wrapped' around timber stretcher bars 1.6in (38mm) deep, for a clean, modern finish. The frame is deep and strong enough to hang from 1 or 2 screws or nails to securely and neatly display the piece on your wall.

FAQs

Where are you based?

I live and work in Devon in the south west of the UK.

What is your process?

My paintings are inspired by the wilderness and natural spaces such as moorland, the south west UK coastline and the dramatic wide open skies and the ever changing weather fronts.

I create my paintings building the paint up in layers to build texture and atmosphere. I like to transfer the energy and feeling of my subject with big gestural marks using a variety of wide brushes and scrapers. A suggestion of land, nature or coastline is achieved through mark making with various tools and organic lines.

Painting the contrast of light against dark is a strong part of my process to mirror the breathtaking drama of the weather that is something that moves me everyday while living here in Devon.

My paintings bring life and the wild to the viewer and their home and although my paintings feel spacious they have a subtle detail that continues to reveal itself over and over continuing to feed the soul.

What materials do you use for canvas prints?

Cotton and polyester blend canvas

Stretched over 38mm (3.8cm) thick wooden stretcher bars

Stretcher bars made from sustainably sourced European knotless pine

What is museum wrapping?

Museum wrapping is a technique used to stretch a canvas print, ensuring the image remains on the front surface of the stretcher frame while a solid colour wraps around the frame’s edge.

My museum wrapped canvas prints have white edges and can be hung just as they are or you can take them to your local framer to be framed.

How do you give back to the environment?

Supporting Moor Trees with Every Print Sale

For every print sale, a donation is made to Moor Trees charity.

As well as making regular monthly donations to Moor Trees, I donate 5% of every print sale (both paper and canvas) to this incredible charity that plants thousands of trees in Devon each year.

About Moor Trees

Moor Trees is a charity on a mission to restore native woodland on Dartmoor and surrounding areas.

"We are more than just tree planters – we want to restore entire landscapes, creating thriving habitats and sequestering carbon for
generations to come. The woodlands we create together will mitigate climate change, create vital habitats for wildlife, and provide places for people to enjoy for generations to come. We aim to restore native broadleaf woodland by growing trees from locally collected seeds in our community tree nurseries and planting them as new woodland on private and public land."

Is there a way to see what the artwork might look like on my wall before buying?

Yes, if you are on my mailing list, you can request a room 'mockup'. Simply send me a picture of the wall you'd like to place the art on, with some of the room included in the shot, and I will create a mockup for you to show you how the artwork will look in your home or space.

Do you offer bespoke commissions?

Following your initial enquiry we have an initial discussion to decide upon the design. You can share with me about where it will be hung and perhaps about your decor if that is relevant. You may have a picture of a special place that you want to be reflected in the piece. We will look at my past paintings as a reference for composition, style, colour palette and atmosphere to create a guide for me before I begin. I will create you your own original painting over the course of a few weeks.  I will communicate with you partway through the process and also towards the end to ensure we are on track.

I take a deposit at the beginning of the process and then we complete the payment when the painting is finished and ready for delivery or collection. I give you a price quote for the painting as well as the optional framing and the p and p if required. Costs depend on the size but are in line with my original paintings in my shop. I love fulfilling commissions and welcome your inquiry.

When will my item arrive?

Originals - please allow 3 business days for me to prepare your painting for safe shipping. I can currently only ship my original paintings within the UK or of course you may collect from my studio if that works for you.

I can however send prints on paper and prints on canvas worldwide.

Unframed prints - please allow 5-7 days for shipping as your print is hand made to order.

Framed prints - please allow 10-14 days for your print to be handmade and sent to our framers for finishing.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive a shipment notification email with an estimated delivery date.

Can I track my order?

Yes. All orders are given a tracking number so that you can follow your artwork from the date of the order to the delivery to your home!
